Sometimes refered to as "high-tech hide and seek," Geocaching is a new sport that uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to locate a "stash." The person who hides the stash also identifies, on the Internet, the longitude and latitude where it was placed.
It is not the purpose of these pages to compete with the excellent sites of Geocaching.com or Joe Mehaffey and Jack Yeazel's GPS Information Website. but rather my personal perspective of this hobby. As with most geocachers, my enjoyment is not from what trinkets can be obtained from the caches. The fun for me is spending time with my family searching for and placing caches.
